Materials
Worsted yarn approx 5 skeins of Red Heart Super Saver
 
 Stripe Sequence
 
With MC ch 135 loosely
 
Row 1: (right side) single crochet in second chain and through out
 
To work V-St (dc. Ch 1, dc) in dc indicated.
 
Row 2: ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout) turn: skip next dc work “v” stitch in next dc. (skip next 2 dc work V-St in next dc) across to the last 2 sts, skip the last dc dc in top of beginning ch
 
Row 3: Ch 3. turn: dc in next dc and in each ch 1 sp and each dc across
 
Rows 4-83: Repeat Rows 2 and 3 till you have the size you want 
Finish off
 
I normally eye it depending on the size of hook and also for the size blanket I am wanting.  You can change the size just by making it an even number when you are making your beginning chain.
I start with chain 135 and then a row of single Crochets then I start with the “V” stitch.
